Summer with its lovely long days is here at last. The grass is certainly growing apace, the dawn chorus is really early, the trees are in leaf and the flowers & shrubs are doing their bit too, filling the views with glorious colour. As a result of the wetter than usual spring we've had, everywhere is delightfully green & lush.

At this time of year, we get some simply glorious days,  with clear blue skies, some fluffy white clouds and the sun dappling on the hillsides & lochs - stunning. The long, late evenings are an absolute delight too.

Based here at Crubenbeg House Newtonmore our guests enjoy the magnificent views all around us, the peace and quiet of our rural location and, of course, our superb breakfasts.

You will also find that we are very well placed to let you get everywhere very easily indeed. There's all the local attractions and activites including the new Wildcat Experience, The Folk Park, The Wildlife Park and Ruthven Barracks to name just a few plus Walks and Cycle Tracks. Further afield, you'll find the Cairngorm Funicular Railway , Ballindalloch Castle, The Whisky Trail and Culloden Battlefield too. All are within easy reach by car from here.

As things stand at the time of writing this note, we are fully booked through to the end of the month. If you were looking to come and stay, I can only apologies that we can't help and hope that you'll give us another try another time. My fingers are firmly crossed!!
