When asked about dogs, we often say that “Well behaved dogs we welcome, their well-behaved owners, we tolerate!!”
A little tongue in cheek, perhaps, but seriously, when it comes to dogs, we love ‘em and you are more than welcome to bring your dog with you.
However not all our guests are dog lovers and we do ask that you ensure that your pooch doesn’t spoil other guests’ stays with us.
We ask that your dog is not left in your bedroom unattended, please put him or her in your car when you are in our dining room.
Please also don’t forget to bring their bed, blanket, food and bowl, though we do have spares available if needed.
There are plenty of walks around the house, from short “comfort strolls” to longer leg stretches both for your dog and for you!! We do have bins where you can deposit any “poop scoop” bags – we’ll show you those when you get here.
We very much look forward to meeting your dog(s) - you too, of course.

Here are a few delightful quotes, all about dogs.
"If it wasn't for dogs, some folk would never go for a walk." Emily Dickinson.
"Our dog chases people on a bike. We've had to take it off him." Winston Churchill.
"Scratch a dog and you'll find a permanent job." Franklin P Jones.
"Dogs are wise. They crawl away into a corner, lick their wounds and do not rejoin the wolrd until they are whole once more." Agatha Christie.
These quote, and more, plus some superb photos of dogs are all in a wee book - Quotable Dogs. For lovers of felines, there's a Quotable Cats too.
